Denmark, and particularly the cities Ballerup and Copenhagen, would like to welcome you to the UCI Track Cycling World Championships. Denmark is a small country with 5.5 million citizens. The charming capital, Copenhagen, is the financial and political headquarter of Denmark, but it city is also known as a genuine Bike City, as 50 % of the inhabitants of Copenhagen take their bike to work all year round. Therefore this is just the perfect place to welcome cycling events.
The track Ballerup Super Arena is located in Ballerup, and is proud to host the 2010 UCI Track Cycling World Championships, Ballerup Super Arena will be the theatre of great track events.
In 2010 The UCI Track Cycling World Championships returns to Denmark and Ballerup Super Arena. The championship was last held in Denmark (also in Ballerup) in 2002, and between 1896 and 1956 the Ordrup Velodrome, north of Copenhagen, hosted the World Championships in track cycling nine times. |
