Cycling Australia today the five sprint cyclists who will ride in Team Jayco, the newest professional track team. Team Jayco is made up of members of the Cycling Australia/AIS High Performance Program and will be based at the Adelaide Superdrome.

The Team Jayco roster will be:

Daniel Ellis (Age 21). Thehe reigning Oceania Champion in sprint and team sprint and represented Australia at the Beijing Olympic Games
Kaarle McCulloch (Age 21). The is the reigning World and Oceania Champion in team sprint and Oceania Champion in the 500m time trial.
Jason Niblett (Age 26). The reigning Oceania Champion in team sprint.
Shane Perkins (Age 22). The current Australian Champion in keirin, sprint, kilometre time trial and team sprint and the Oceania Champion in the keirin.
Scott Sunderland (Age 21). The reigning Oceania Champion in time trial  and team sprint.

Team Jayco will debut at the opening round of the 2009 – 2010 UCI Track Cycling World Cup Classics Series being staged in Manchester from 31 October to 1 November. The team will also race in the Melbourne round of the series from 19 to 21 November.

Cycling Australia National Sprint Coach, Gary West, says Team Jayco provides a wonderful opportunity for the sprint program.
“This allows the sprint riders in the existing program to further hone their skills at an international level but it also gives us an opportunity to develop future stars,” said Mr West. “At World Cup level we can enter the Team Jayco sprinters while in the national team emerging talent can be given an opportunity to shine."
